The Dash Difference

We are DASH

At DASH Physical Therapy, we are trying to change the way physical therapy is performed. We use hands on manual therapy to achieve greater results for our patients. Traditionally, physical therapy consists of heavy modalities such as heat and ice. At Dash we take a hands on approach, with orthopedic manual therapy, to achieve greater results for our patients.

Manual Therapy

Manual Therapy is used with every appropriate patient at DASH. We perform hands on manual manipulation and mobilization of the joints, tissue, and the general musculoskeletal system. Doing this can increase function, as well as decrease pain.

Dry Needling

As stated by the APTA, "Dry needling is a technique physical therapists use for the treatment of pain and movement impairments. The technique uses a “dry” needle, one without medication or injection, inserted through the skin into areas of the muscle. Other terms commonly used to describe dry needling, include trigger point dry needling, and intramuscular manual therapy. Dry needling is not acupuncture, a practice based on traditional Chinese medicine and performed by acupuncturists. Dry needling is a part of modern Western medicine principles, and supported by research."
